Executive Coaching

The word coach comes from the historical stagecoach. A stagecoach is a carrier of valuable people from where they are to where they want to go. So too does coaching assist people in getting from their current state or position to where they want their life, career or business to go. Coaches help to close the gap between where someone wishes to be and where they are at now. Coaching is about helping people and teams reach peak performance.

Working with a coach, allows you to clarify your purpose and goals and to discover what opportunities lie ahead for you in your business, career and life. To identify what you want more and less of in your personal and professional life. Coaching will help you see things clearly and in a new way. It opens the door to many new possibilities.

What do we Do?

Our role as your coach is not to provide answers. Our role is to ask thought-provoking questions that assist you in discovering your own answers. The coach is your personal sounding board.

In today's world, dramatic change is taking place at warp speed. Companies and leaders are recognizing the need to reinvent their organizations and themselves in order to succeed. Coaching is about leadership and inspiring, empowering and enabling individuals to formulate strategies and to execute powerfully, while maintaining personal balance and fulfillment.

Coaching has emerged as a highly valuable tool in the corporate world. With massive change and unrest in the economy, markets plummeting and missed revenue targets, companies are turning to the value that executive coaching brings now more than ever.

Ultimately, the goal of coaching is to assist the client to move forward in excellence to see possibilities that the client was not aware of before. In the end it is all about return on investment. Great leaders aim to contribute and make a significant difference in the world and the work that they do. What is your strategy for success?

Coaching is NOT...

Not Consulting. Consultants bring specific knowledge and transfer that knowledge to their clients. They are experts in an area and hired to solve problems and give advice. Coaches don't give advice or tell you what to do.

Not Counseling. Counselors work with clients to uncover psychological and sometimes deep-seated issues and they often focus on the past and why you are the way you are. Coaches focus on opportunities and creating a new future and how you're going to get there.

Not Mentoring. Mentors are individuals who are successful in a particular career, job or area. They teach others how to be like them.

What will we talk about? You set the agenda and focus on what you choose to focus on. You determines where you want to go and what you want to put your attention to.

Our Coaching Philosophy

Our Executive Coaches and facilitators follow the guidelines and ethics set forth by the International Coaching Federation.

The International Coach Federation adheres to a form of coaching that honors the client as the expert in his/her personal and/or professional life and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

1. Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
2. Encourage client self-discovery
3. Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
4. Hold the client as responsible and accountable

I further agree that ICF's holding me accountable for my breach may include loss of my ICF membership or my ICF certification.

ICF Standards of Ethical Conduct

I will conduct myself in a manner that reflects well on coaching as a profession and I will refrain from doing anything that harms the public's understanding or acceptance of coaching as a profession.

I will identify my level of coaching competence to the best of my ability and I will not overstate my qualifications, expertise or experience as a coach.

I will, at the beginning of each coaching relationship, ensure that my coaching client understands the terms of the coaching agreement between us.

I will obtain permission from each of my clients before releasing their names as clients or references.

I will be alert to noticing when my client is no longer benefiting from our coaching relationship and thus would be better served by another coach or by another resource and, at that time, I will encourage my client to make that change.

I will avoid conflicts between my interests and the interests of my clients.

Whenever the potential for a conflict of interest arises, I will, on a timely basis, discuss the conflict with my client to reach informed agreement with my client on how to deal with it in whatever way best serves my client.

I will, on a timely basis, disclose to my client all compensation from third parties that I may receive for referrals of, or advice given to, that client.

I will honour every term of agreements I make with my clients and, if separate, with whoever compensates me for the coaching of my clients.

I will not give my clients or any prospective clients information or advice I know to be confidential, misleading or beyond my competence.
